Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>The Maine Dams dataset, maintained by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is a comprehensive spatial and tabular data base of dams, levees, impoundments, and barriers that are in and around Maine’s lakes, streams, and rivers. It includes both current and historical facilities. Spatial and tabular data will be updated on an ongoing basis. The Maine DEP Dams layers were created from various sources, including a historical dams dataset based on the Inventory of Dams on Maine Waterways (1973), the Maine Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) dams datasets, the Maine Stream Habitat Viewer (MSHV) dataset, and others.
