Service Description: True color imagery, 0.50 meter ground sample distance (GSD), high resolution digital orthophotographs produced from aerial photos collected over the coast of Maine in the late summer of 2009. Each pixel represents a planimetric square 0.50 meter on a side on the ground. Aerial photography was flown at approximately 1,900 meters above mean ground level. Source elevation data were 30 meter Digital Elevation Models produced by the USGS from 1:24,000 scale elevation. The digital orthorectified images are referenced to North American Datum 1983, UTM Zone 19, expressed in units of meters. The completed orthorectified GeoTIFF files represent Digital Ortho Quarter Quad (DOQQ) sized sheets. Imagery tiles provide complete coverage of the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) 2009 Eelgrass boundaries as defined by the project.
