Service Description: The Maine DLI_Barriers geodatabase is a comprehensive spatial and tabular data base of dams, levees, impoundments, and barriers that are in and around Maine’s lakes, streams, and rivers. The geodatabase includes both current and historical facilities. Spatial and tabular data will be updated on an ongoing basis. Current DLI_Barrier data may be included with Maine's National Hydrography Data at a later date. This data brings together data from several agencies including the Maine Stream Habitat Viewer and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection. The Maine DLI_Barriers geodatabase has been created by the Bureau of Water Quality within the Maine Department of Environmental Protection for use with Bureau specific projects. Historical data from the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and other agencies may also be included.
